U.S. Veteran

Samuel Fain Davis, age 87 of Red Bud South - Warsaw, died on July 2, 2012 at his home after a long illness.

Sam was born on January 18, 1925 to Samuel Fain Davis and Mary Evelyn ‘Buck’ Davis of Altus, Arkansas. After graduating from high school and attending trade school, he enlisted in the U. S. Army and served in North Africa and Italy during WWII. Then in 1950, he married Magdalene Nelson in Kansas City, MO. Sam worked in the construction business as a plumber. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Mary Alice Gazzola of Roland, OK and Nan Bartlett of Van Buren, AR; 2 brothers, John Davis of Raymond, KS and Fred Davis of Visalia, CA; also, his friend and life partner, Anna Krause of Warsaw, MO.

Preceding him were his parents, and his wife Magdalene K. Davis.

Under the direction of Consalus Funeral Home, Sam was cremated and will be taken back to Altus, AR for a private family service and inurnment on Saturday, July 14, 2012.
