Ronald Eugene Burnau, age 74 of El Dorado Springs, MO, died on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Cedar County Hospital, El Dorado Springs.
Ronald was born on May 21, 1938 to Leslie Burnau and Lillian ‘Beaujean’ Burnau of St. Louis, MO. For all most all of his life, Ronald was disabled. He lived most of his life here in the Clinton area, moving to El Dorado Springs for the last 13 years of his life. Ronald usually had a magazine in his pocket or in the rack next to his chair. He spent hours flipping through and tearing out pages from these magazines. Whenever he would go out, he would always wear a baseball cap. He loved decaf coffee or juice, McDonald’s cheeseburgers, KFC chicken strips and pizza. Ronald also spent a lot of time listening to his radio. He loved celebrating birthdays and holidays, playing Bingo at the Senior Center and keeping in contact with his family and friends.
Surviving Ronald are two sisters, Carol Jean Williams of Fredericktown, MO, and Joyce Hogan of St. Charles, MO; his guardian, Pamela Humphreys and husband Patrick of Clinton; and the Humphreys’ three children Dillon, Steven and Shelby; also many friends and especially his caregivers.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Leslie Burnau.
According to his wishes, Ronald was cremated. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Clintonville Cemetery, El Dorado Springs, MO. Arrangements were provided by Consalus Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
