Obituary for Dennis W Bryson

Dennis W. Bryson, age 72, Clinton, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at his home.

Dennis was born November 17, 1946 to Walter and Perlotha ‘Rocky’ Harris-Nagel of Lancaster, PA. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and took college classes. During his 27 years of service, he served three tours of duty in Vietnam. Dennis married Berdena Hearn on June 8, 1973 in San Diego, CA. Dennis holds a Master’s Degree and was one course short of receiving his Doctorate Degree. After his retirement from the Navy, he and Berdena moved back to the area where he worked for the St. Clair County Central Dispatch, and spent time as a jailer at the St. Clair County Jail and worked at Pathways.

Survivors include his wife of the home; his son, Dennis (Melissa) Bryson, Clinton, MO; daughter, Christina (Melvin) Harris, Bolivar, MO; grandchildren, Jasmine Verdoot, Angelica Crowder and Alexis Bryson; great-granddaughter, Addison; 3 fur babies, Matilda his service dog, Princess and Chloe; Siblings, Paula Mull, Frederick Bryson and Jeffery Bryson, Florida.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson, James Crowder.

Dennis wishes were to be cremated and have his cremains buried at the Missouri V.A. Cemetery 5201 S. Southwood Rd. Springfield, MO.on Thursday December 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., with full military honors.
