Obituary for LeeRoy LaHue

LeeRoy “Shorty” LaHue, age 84, of Holden, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the Holden Manor with friends by his side.

LeeRoy was born in Kingsville, MO on November 4, 1933 to Dewey Otis LaHue and Leland Lavina (Wicks) LaHue. Throughout his life, LeeRoy worked many different jobs, mostly as a general laborer in the manufacturing industry. He also spent periods of time traveling with a carnival company and running his own saw mill. LeeRoy never married and lived in the Holden area all of his life. He was a kind and generous man who had a smile that could light up a room. He was a blessing to all who were fortunate to be his friend. His passing has left an empty space in the lives of those who loved him and he will be missed.

Survivors include a sister, Frances Schumaker, last known to be of Salina, KS, and close friends: Dwight Duncan, Bob Graham, Danny Graham, and Kenny and Tonyea Inglis.

Preceding him in death were his parents and six brothers: Leon, Raymond, Louis, Robert, Albert, and Meril LaHue.

A graveside service has been scheduled for 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Carpenter Cemetery, Chilhowee, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carpenter Cemetery and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
