Obituary for Linda L Dearston

Linda L. Dearston, age 77, of Deepwater, MO died suddenly on January 28, 2018.

Linda was born in Osceola, MO, to Walter and Sylvia ‘Broyles’ Evans. She graduated High School in Deepwater, MO.

Linda worked as a secretary in Kansas City after High School. She also worked for Henry County Abstract for many years. She married Gerald Dearston in 1998.

Linda attended church most of her life and enjoyed reading the Bible, studying scripture and praying for others. She enjoyed visiting with people, she liked to read, and she loved spending time with Gerald on the farm. They enjoyed gardening, fishing, tending to their cows and they shared wonderful meals together.

Linda is survived by her niece, Renee Frost (Brian); great-niece, Brett Frost, niece, Melissa Everhart, great-nephew, Toby Everhart, her step-children, Jerry Dearston, Pam Dearston, Vicki Blakely and Brenda Gregory. She is also survived by neighbors, cousins, other family and many friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald Dearston, brother, Gary Evans, nephew, Mike Everhart, sister-in-law, Vivian Evans, and step-daughter, Wanda Dearston.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton, MO. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, MO.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Linda Dearston Memorial Fund and be left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
